Health Center Clinical Staff Invited to the MPCA Annual Conference

Health Center clinical staff members are invited to the 2011 MPCA Annual Conference to be held August 7-9 at the Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa in Thompsonville, Michigan. The Annual Conference is a great opportunity to gather resources and best practices on a variety of topics relevant to practicing at a Health Center, and to network with your colleagues from Community Health Centers across the state.

New this year, MPCA is hosting a Clinical Transformation Pre-Conference session on Sunday, August 7 specifically for Health Center clinical staff. Topics of discussion will include medical frustration, creating a quality culture, Meaningful Use and the EHR Incentive Program, and success factors for HIT/EHR projects. Click here to learn more about the sessions and to register to attend.

Following the Clinical Transformations Pre-Conference session are round table discussions focused on STEAM, the Nurses Network, and Pharmacy issues. There will also be an opportunity at this time for Chief Medical Officers to convene.

The conference agenda is rich with resources, best practices, lessons learned, and success stories to highlight new ways to build connections that matter. Session topics include operational and clinical performance indicators for CHCs, implementing a residency program, comparing the BCBSM and NCQA approaches to PCMH, hospital partnerships, health care reform…and much more. We hope to see you there!  If you have questions about the Pre-Conference and round table discussions, please contact Lynda Meade at lmeade@mpca.net.
